Read A Simple Concept

At the heart of Little Book of Words is our desire to help people to read. Our Buy a Book, Give a Book program. BAB-GAB is a simple concept, but we’ve found it’s a powerful way to help fight illiteracy and open doors for children in need. Every time you buy a book form Little Book of Words, we’ll donate a percentage to our literacy partner BookSpring to buy a book for a child. Their mission is to help children develop a desire to read so they can succeed in school and life.

When we looked at many of the problems in our country today — crime, homelessness, social injustice, children without families to support them — we found that the vast majority stem from illiteracy and ignorance. It’s a problem that grows bigger as it feeds on itself: without a way to change their circumstances, many people who lack the education to improve their lives go on to have children who are stuck with the same problems.

Instead of treating the symptoms, BAB-GAB is about curing the disease. When we give a book to a child in need, we seek to break the cycle and, ultimately, change the world.
